'Changing the Moon'

Have I opposed the Time-Slayer

     The reaping, leveling sickle moon,

And turned it into the fruitful Harvest Moon

     Before its setting,

And so made a gain from a loss in the realms of time?



I know not well, now - but:

Having spoken my pacem

I have no longer need to speak my piece.



When the plenum threatens his silent condition,

     The human must speak the being -

Although we make not a whole new world thereby.
